NYC: Vehicle takes steep drop off overpass, killing all inside

» What happened: The van went out of control on the Bronx River Parkway, falling 100 feet off an overpass and killing four adults — a male, age 84, and three women, ages 80, 45 and 30 — and three children — all girls, ranging in age from 7 to 12. Nobody at the zoo, animal or human, was injured by the fairly dramatic-sounding crash.
